Children Have An Identity Program

LINCOLN COUNTY AMBULANCE DISTRICT HELPS IDENTIFY
CHILDREN INVOLVED IN
CAR CRASHES

Lincoln County Ambulance District is promoting a new public safety program.  This program
is called CHAD (Children Have An Identity).  The CHAD program involves the distribution
of stickers, which can identify children  involved in a traffic accident.  This sticker will be
placed under the cushion on the right side of the child's safety seat.

The program came about after an accident involving a small child in Illinois.  The baby sitter
who was driving was killed in the accident and the child named CHAD was rushed to the
hospital.  The child's medical care was delayed because no one could identify him.  By placing
this sticker under the cushion seat of the safety seat all information will be visible to
ambulance personnel upon arrival of the accident scene.  This will help to provide
important information about the child.

To obtain a CHAD sticker you can stop by any Lincoln County Ambulance District Base to
pick up your free CHAD sticker.  It is our hope that this will help in providing life saving
information.
