LCAD Receives AFG Grant
Lincoln County Ambulance District receives AFG grant in 2008

 

Lincoln County Ambulance District applied for AFG grant in the of amount of 243,777 with contribution from LCAD of 20% (48,755), total from AFG 195,022 for the purchase of 6 (six) LP12, 10 (ten) Masimo Rad 57,s and 6 (six) LUCAS

 

LP12 cardiac monitors are biphasic and have pulse oximetry, blood pressure, capnography and blue tooth capable to send all information directly to receiving hospital.

 

Masimo Rad 57 monitoring of CO2 levels enables the Paramedic to more accurately differentiate whether a patient needs to be taken to a hyperbaric chamber or if high flow oxygen would be the most appropriate treatment.

 

LUCAS is a hands free air driven CPR machine capable of giving uninterrupted CPR to cardiac arrest victims

 

All of these pieces of equipment will be placed on all the first line ambulances and the supervisor’s truck.

 

This grant also allowed for extra training expenses to insure proper use and care of this cutting edge technology.
